French Antique Gilt Oval Mirror with Dove, Torch & Quiver Decoration c.1880

A beautiful antique gilt oval mirror. 19th Century and in perfect condition with original plate. At 146cm high, this piece of exceptional size as well as quality. The quality of this piece is truly outstanding with an intricate carving and beautiful gilding. The carving is of a dove, torch and quiver of arrows which are symbols of love. The leaves and flowers surrounding them are Oak leaves. This piece was likely commissioned in the 19th century as a gift to a partner.
