Early 19th Century Round Centre Table of Large Proportions
Sold
Item Details
A very imposing early 19th century (made around 1810) Walnut centre table made on a very large scale this is a really impressive piece of country house furniture.
The top measures 165cm in diameter and the table stands 76cm high. The scale of this table is very rare and the rustic look of it is wonderful.
This would make a beautiful centre table in a large entrance hallway in a country house or barn conversion. Equally this could be used as a dining table and would sit up to 8 people.
The top has warped slightly and there is a crack in the top (shown in photos). The feet which are carved in a 'ball and claw' design have been worn. All of this just adds to this oversized pieces rustic appeal.
