Antique French Boulle Cabinet with Brass Inlay and White Marble Top c.1860

This is a stunning Boulle cabinet in excellent condition. Boulle furniture is recognisable for its fabulous use of brass inlay and tortoise shell. This style was particularly popular with Louis XIV in France and many items of this style can be seen in the Louvre in Paris. This cabinet was made around 1860 and features outstanding quality Boulle work, ormolu decorations and a white marble top. This has just been to our cabinet maker for a light restoration and is absolutely stunning. The boulle work on the front of the cabinet is 100% complete and the item comes with original, undamaged marble top and working key.
